Launch review
Every launch goes through a short human review.
We want launchsims to feel like a high-signal Product-Hunt-style feed — not a content farm. To keep that promise, every public launch gets a quick pass from a human reviewer before anyone outside your account can see it.
How long does it take?
We aim to review every submission within 1-2 business days. Most are done in under 24 hours. There's no manual fast-track — queueing is strictly first-in-first-out so it's fair to everyone.
Is the page visible during review?
No. While your submission is pending, the public launch URL returns a 404 for everyone except you and our admins. You can still preview the page from your publish dashboard so you know exactly what visitors will see once it's approved.
How will I be notified?
All updates land in the bell icon in the top navigation — we don't send emails for moderation events. You'll see one of three notifications:
- Submitted — confirms we've received the launch and added it to the queue.
- Approved — your launch is live on the public Feed; clicking the notification opens the public page.
- Not approved — includes the specific reason from the reviewer so you know what to change.
What gets rejected?
We reject submissions when they break one of the rules below. This list is intentionally short and biased toward letting things through:
- Illegal content, scams, or impersonation of real people / brands.
- Adult or NSFW content (we don't host it, period).
- Pure SEO spam — empty pages, link farms, or content that has no relationship to a real product.
- Hateful, harassing, or violent content directed at a specific person or group.
- Misleading claims that can't be verified — pricing, testimonials, awards, or stats fabricated wholesale.
What if I'm rejected?
Open the publish page — the rejection reason is shown right above your draft. Edit the offending parts, then click Resubmit for review. There's no penalty for multiple submissions. If you think we got it wrong, send us a message at hello@launchsims.com with the launch slug and a one-paragraph explanation.
What happens after I'm approved?
Once approved, your launch shows up on the public Feed, the page becomes indexable for SEO, and visitors can upvote, comment, and report. Edits you save afterwards do not auto-republish — if you change anything substantive, click Resubmit after edits to send the new draft back through review.
